“I Did My Chores!” The Hassle Free Chore System
This visual/pictorial system motivates children to accomplish
activities of daily living (ADLs) independently, while at the same time improving
organizational skills, self-help skills, self-monitoring, and self-esteem. The child hangs
the chore cards on color-coded areas of the board, takes each card off as the chore is
completed, and then puts each chore card in the "I Did It!®" box. At the end of
the day, the child receives a token for each card in the box. Tokens can be exchanged for
previously agreed upon rewards, such as a hug, or a second story at bedtime. Comes with an
instruction booklet with tips for success without stress, ideas for fun rewards, a
9"x12" chore board to tack on the wall, 50 plastic cards, 300 tokens, 48

an appropriate and safe manner.

Toys recommended for children over three years
old generally have small parts that can be swallowed by a child who mouths toys. Such items are not meant for an individual
of any age who is still exploring toys by putting them into the mouth. Any toy containing
string should not be used by children under three, and older children
should be supervised while using the toy.
